The York Region Law Association is a community focused professional organization of lawyers.
Using funds derived from membership fees and various grants, it operates and maintains the Law Association and Library, which is located at the Newmarket Courthouse.
The Association maintains standing committees which are mandated to regularly address concerns specific to the practice of law within the Region. These committees are in regular communication with the different levels of court as well as other offices and organizations.
The YRLA also organizes continuing legal education sessions and regular social functions, as well as informational and educational meetings.
